Conjunction


Conjunction is a word that joins together words, phrases, clauses or sentences.


For example:

She is a doctor and her brother is an engineer.
He is poor but honest.
He must get a good job or he will run away.
Two and two make four.

Conjunctions Used in Pairs

Some conjunctions are used in pairs.

Neither she nor her mother is in the house.

Either he is a fool or a knave.

He is not only a brother to me but also a friend.

Although he is rich yet he is not proud.

As you sow, so shall you reap.

and, but, or, for, nor, also, till, else, though, because, before, if, that, unless. until, while, where, when, since, how, why, both, hence, thus.
