How To Improve Your Digestion?


There are number of people who have digestion problems. They cannot fully enjoy their food because they are conscious of the problems which they will face after eating. The people who have weak digestion face a great physical problems and uneasiness. It may include heart burns, chronic gas, constipation or even diarrhea.

A lot number of people may feel fatigue, bloating, abdominal pain, indigestion, acid reflux etc after eating heavy and spicy meals.

We have to accept the fact that everybody has different body chemistry and his physical powers are also different from one another. That is why there are some who can digest any sort of foods and others feel digestion problems soon after eating.

If it gets very serious you should definitely consult your health physician. However minor digestion problems can be treated at home. You need to strengthen your stomach so that you can enjoy your food. Here

Always take your meals on a fix time.

There should be a gap of at least four hours between meals. Never drink water or any liquid at least half and hour prior to your meal time. The reason behind this is that your stomach contains certain enzymes and fluids which are helpful in digestion. If you drink water or any liquid they will get diluted and less powerful.

Try to eat less and stop when you have some hunger

The best rule of thumb is to eat as much as you can hold in your two hands. Your stomach should have one third of food, one third of air and one third of gastric juices. This way it will perform very well.

There are certain enzymes in our mouth in shape of saliva. Use them by chewing your food properly. If you chew your food properly it will get soft and semi liquid with the help of saliva in your mouth. It gets semi digested there so your stomach will have to work less.

Always try to eat the right combination of foods

fruits should not be taken with yogurt or milk. Meats and potatoes are also not good combination. Eat a high fiber and balanced diet. Fiber strengthens your bowl movements thus reducing the risk of constipation.

Avoid spicy and greasy foods

They not only get heavy on your stomach but are not good for overall health. Use olive oil in your foods. Fresh lemon is considered to be very good for strengthening the stomach. Squeeze one fresh lemon in a glass of water and add some salt in it. This drink is excellent for stomach.

Be careful about the beans grams, pulses and lentils

Eat them only if they have been soaked before cooking, or at least slow cooked, and are eaten with carminative spices and not with sugar. Broccoli, cabbage and Brussels sprouts are often gas-producing so you may like to keep their quantity to minimum.

Use the magic of onion to often. Eat them with every food. Drink half a cup of onion juice weekly or fortnightly. It will have dramatic effects on your digestion power. It will kill all the germs and bacteria in your stomach and will strengthen it.
